And my plan goes pear shaped - already!

OK, I have a plan and it is a good plan - but the fabric distributor gods have gone and chucked a spanner in and before I even start...ground to a halt!
You see I really really want to use muslin I have on backorder for the stitchery backgrounds...so today I ring the shop to check on delivery progress and the distributor has advised that it will be late April!!!  Late April!  Do they not know that I need it yesterday?  My friend and I are sharing a 15m bolt, more than what is needed for the intended quilt it was ordered for and it is perfect for Gardener's Journal...but...late April!
Can I wait....behind before I even start....can I wait....I so want to start stitching...but the muslin will be just right....can I wait...I don't want to buy background fabric when I have some on order....but can I wait...oh the agony, why are the fabric distribution gods being so darn mean :(
I've shopped for threads and wound the bobbins, the only thing missing from the project box is...background fabric....can I wait...

Feeling sooooo sorry for you, what a thing to go through :( Should be able to suggest you something else :-) Keep on watching us, and start on an UFO that has been there for a long time, while you in your mind dream about the Garden.
Take a week holiday when it all arrives, and pray the day has got several hours and work hard. Sorry, all the best to you.
